Part of the study of art and the creativity
of it includes producing still life articles. The “Ship's Lantern” was a subject that was given as an assignment to my students. It
was up to them to determine the media they would use. As their instructor, I too captured the lantern and decided to use oil
as my media. The background was added to make this painting more interesting and imaginative.
